NYPD officials have just issued an alert about a sixteen-year-old girl who hasn’t been seen since last year.
Juliette Kapon was last seen leaving her residence at 160 West 72nd Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues) on Tuesday, November 19 at about 8:30 a.m.

While police told ILTUWS that Kapon has not been reported missing until now, several individuals with intimate knowledge of the situation tell us a report was filed with the NYPD on November 19.
On November 29, ten days after she was reportedly last seen, Kapon was also identified in a Facebook post shared by Missing People in America which echoed a portion of the quoted description above.
According to Child Find of America, Kapon was “last seen on November 19, 2024 at her high school in East Harlem, New York. She left the school at around 11:40AM.”
A video about Kapon’s whereabouts was also shared on December 6 by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and on Dec. 9, News 12 reported that authorities had received a tip stating that an individual matching her description had been spotted in Westchester County. Nothing appears to have come from this, though.
We’ll provide updates if and when more information becomes available.
