The West 111th Street Block Association is hosting a “swap and shop” on Saturday, September 10 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Head to 111th and Amsterdam and feel free to bring your own table. On September 11 at 5 p.m. on 76th and Columbus Avenue, the Columbus Avenue BID is hosting a runway show as part of its open streets program, featuring fall fashion from local boutiques including AG, bocnyc, Eileen Fisher, Faherty, Johnny Was, Liana, Marine Layer, Only Hearts, Peruvian Connection, Sunloom, Alexis Bittar, Jeannie’s Dream and KTCollection. All looks will be modeled by locals and an after party in the streets will follow the show.

The West Side Community Garden (123 West 89th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues) has announced its upcoming Arts & Crafts Fair, taking place on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The free event will showcase local artists who will be selling their works, feature a children’s art workshop, and include live performances by Ballet Hispánico and the New York String Society / Statue of Liberty Band Concert.
