Law & Order Filming Thursday and Friday

The cast and crew of “Law & Order” will be setting up shop to film scenes on the Upper West Side this week. (Thanks to @katiepaynter for the tip!).

Flyers have been posted around the neighborhood.

“Universal Television is currently in production of the twenty-first season of ‘Law & Order.’ Eleven years since its series finale, the original ‘Law & Order’ is returning to NBC. Season 21 will continue where the show left off in 2010, with the classic format that explores two separate, yet equally important groups: ‘the police who investigate crimes and the district attorneys who prosecute offenders.’ ‘Law & Order’ will be executive produced by Dick Wolf, Rick Eid, Arthur Forney, and Peter Jankowski. ‘Law & Order’ is set to premiere on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 8pm.”

Filming will take place on Thursday from approximately 8am to 11pm and on Friday from approximately 11am to 2am.

For purposes of staging scenes and parking production vehicles, parking will be held in advance of filming on the following blocks:

• West Side of Columbus Ave between 76th and 72nd streets (full block)
• East side of Columbus Ave between 77th and 76th streets (full block)
• North side of West 76th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus (1/2 block)
• North side of West 76th Street between Columbus Ave and Central Park West (1/2 block)
• South side of West 76th between Columbus Ave and Central Park West (1/2 block)
• North side of West 72nd between Amsterdam and Columbus Ave (full block)
• East side of Broadway between 84th and 79th streets (full block)
• North side of West 79th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Ave (full block)
• West side of Central Park West between 77th and 76th streets (full block – 12/9 only)
