Late last month, police say a male suspect sexually assaulted two women within a several minute timespan on the Upper West Side. The NYPD is hoping the public can help identify and locate this man.
Both incidents took place on April 30. The first one happened at about 9:04 p.m. when the unknown individual “approached a 49-year-old female victim from behind in front of 378 West End Avenue,” police officials say. “The individual touched the victim’s private area before fleeing.”
At about 9:10 p.m., the same suspect reportedly “approached a 43-year-old female victim from behind in the vicinity of West 78[th] Street and Broadway. The individual grabbed the victim around the neck and touched the victim’s private area before fleeing.”

Following the second assault, police say the suspect headed for the uptown platform of the 79th Street subway station, where surveillance cameras captured his image.
Police describe the suspect as “a male with a light complexion” who was “last seen wearing a dark color[ed] baseball cap, a dark colored jacket with a red and white stripe, [a] blue shirt, and dark colored pants.”
