105th Street Dog Run

The 105th Street Dog Run is where I usually take Frankie.  This is really a beautiful and picturesque part of Riverside Park.  It’s open all year long and I’ve met many new friends here.  The run is always well stocked with plastic bags, water, and boasts lots of open space with separate runs for big and small dogs.  In the summer months, I’ll often go to the Ellington on the Park which is lovely outdoor bar, with umbrellas, great cocktails and sometimes live music (on the lower level).
If you live further south, check out the The 72nd Street Dog Run.

The dog run is operated by the Riverside Park Conservancy, which is a non-profit whose volunteers are in it just to keep their park as clean and safe as possible.

The dog run was made into its current state in 2012, before which the space was a bit dilapidated and unkept.  Thanks to this group of local volunteers, today it is Frankie’s regular play space!
