Passover marks that festive time of year when drinking lots of sweet wine and eating matzah is encouraged upon. The JCC Manhattan is hosting a unique Passover experience that combines four seders with entertainment, music, and of course lots of food and wine. As part of the tradition, families will be able to explain the journey of the Haggadah through the power of storytelling and games. Two parties will be held right after the seders end. One of the parties is geared for adults while the other one is for families with young children.

Excelsior Hotel

Celebrate Passover with the West Side Center for Jewish Life Chabad. This is a seder that welcomes everyone, no matter what your background or faith is. The first seder will take place on March 30 at 7.45pm while the second seder will be held on March 31 at 8.30pm. They both will take place at the Excelsior Hotel which is located at 45 W. 81st St. between Columbus and Central Park West. The price for each seder is $85 for adults and $65 for children ages 3 through 12. The dinner includes a 4 course meal with the 4 cups, Matzah, Maror, and other typical Passover traditions.

20s and 30s Passover Seders 

Manhattan Jewish Experience

The Manhattan Jewish Experience is once again hosting a seder for young professionals in their 20s and 30s. The seders will be held on March 30 at 7.30pm and Mach 31 at 8.30pm. Attendance price is $90 per person. However, early birds can get a ticket for only $75 by purchasing an early bird ticket before March 22. This social seder is all about connecting the community of young Jewish professionals in NYC. There will also be an open bar, a catered dinner, and buffet desserts.

Talia’s Steakhouse

This great UWS restaurant has been serving up quality Kosher food for Passover during more than 15 years. It’s also one of the few restaurants in the city to remain open for the weeklong holiday. They are also open for business during both lunch and dinner for Yom Tov, Chol Hamoed, and Shabbat. Each seder is $140 per person and $100 for children under the age of 10. The early seating starts at 5pm and the second seating at 8pm. The menu is Non-Gebrocht and also includes the typical Haggadah, matzah, and sweet wine.

Family Pesach Seder

Chabad of the West Side

Th Family Pesach Seder of the Chabad of the West Side is a family-friendly affair. The seder will take place on the first night of Pesach which this year falls on March 30 at 6.45pm. It will be led by Rabbi Chayim B. and Morah Sarah Alevsky. The price for per person is of $65 and $36 for children. This seder also welcomes people of different socioeconomic backgrounds. The Chabad of the West Side will also cover the cost for those families that can’t afford to pay the full price due to a lack of funds. Kids will have fun at this event with a reenactment of the story of Moshe, Pharaoh, and the splitting of the seas.
