Easter on the Upper West Side is a great time to celebrate the beginning of spring and spend some quality time with the kids and family.
Whether or not you’re planning on attending the annual Easter Parade, there are also some great events for kids and children right in the Upper West Side.
Whether you’re looking for an Easter egg hunt, Easter crafts or a place to decorate eggs, the following list of children’s Easter events in the Upper West Side has you covered!
4th U Easter Egg Hunt
The 4th U Easter Egg Hunt coordinated by the 4th Universalist Society features 3 Easter egg hunts for children, toddlers and babies based on their age.
There is limited space for this event so make sure you sign up as soon as you can. In the case of rain, the event will be held inside the 4th U.

160 Central Park West at 76th Street (registration)
When:
Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Schedule:
1:00pm – 1:35pm: Babies and tots 1-2 years old
1:40pm – 2:15pm: Toddlers 3-4 years old
2:20pm – 3:00pm: Children ages 5 and up
Easter Activities at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan (CMOM)
The Children’s Museum of Manhattan will be sponsoring 2 Easter activities for children including an Easter egg collage activity and an Easter scavenger hunt.
The Easter egg collage activity is for children 4 years old or younger and will consist of having children decorate cut-out eggs with glue, glitter and tissue paper.
The Easter egg scavenger hunt is for children of all ages and consists of children searching the museum for 6 hidden paper eggs. There is also an Easter prize at the end!

Dinosaur Themed Egg Hunt and Egg Decorating
The Bank Street Bookstore will be hosting a free prehistoric themed egg hunt and decorating activity for children of all ages.
Instead of searching for Easter Bunny eggs however, children will be searching the bookstore for dinosaur eggs. Kids and children will also have the opportunity to participate in dinosaur themed arts and crafts.
