The classic Upper West Side coffee shop has recently opened its second location, The Viand Diner & Bar, at 517 Columbus Avenue.
The original location at 2130 Broadway is still up and running. The new spot on the corner of 85th Street replaces NYC burger joint Jackson Hole.

We stopped by 2 days ago – got our order to go (dinner). The turkey burger and salmon burgers were fantastic! Both top notch – great job folks. The fried calamari with shishito peppers is a great combination, definitely will order again. Looking forward to stopping by again for breakfast in a booth there.
I was looking for a lunch spot after visiting the Natural History Museum with my toddler. I didn’t want to pay for an expensive quick meal so avoided the restaurants around the block from the museum. This was a great choice several blocks away with a kids menu with the usual diner menu. The food was great, the service was excellent as they were very kid friendly and I think the place was recently renovated! The bathrooms were new and clean! Great place nearby the museum!
