The Athena Film Festival is back for one more year at Barnard College in Morningside Heights. The festival is dedicated to female empowerment in films. Athena Film Festival 2019: February 28th – March 3rd
The Athena Film Festival showcases documentaries, films, and shorts that are centered around women. The films selected are about women who are leading a social change whether it is in a fictional world or in real life. The film committee also picks stories that highlight the diversity and strength present in female voices today. Most of the films are also written and directed by women.
