Blue Bottle Coffee has opened a new location at 279 Amsterdam Ave (between 73rd and 74th Streets). The space was previously occupied by Gina la Fornarina.
Blue Bottle Coffee was founded in the early 2000s in California, and their MO is freshness. Says the founder: “I will only sell coffee less than 48 hours out of the roaster to my guests, so they may enjoy coffee at peak flavor. I will only use the finest, most delicious, and responsibly sourced beans.”
Blue Bottle’s baristas taste each coffee to determine the precise days in which they’ll each achieve peak flavor.

The coffee shop is also known for a wide variety of blends, with an emphasis on organic.
According to a recent Facebook post, they also carry oat milk in their cafes. I was recently introduced to this, as my girlfriend is allergic to pretty much everything. It actually tastes pretty good.
