Diana Ross’ 1983 performance in Central Park will be screened in theaters nationwide – for just two nights. The film will display highlights of the concert, as well as never before seen footage and heartfelt messages from the Ross family.
“Her Life, Love And Legacy” will be screened globally on March 26th and March 28th. This comes as part of the year-long celebration of her 75th birthday, dubbed the “Diamond Diana Celebration”.
The legendary performance, appropriately titled “Diana Ross: Live in Central Park“ had to be postponed because of a nasty storm, though she tried her best to sing through it. Over a million fans came to see her perform on the Great Lawn, but had to come back the next day so that she could finish during less prohibitive weather conditions.
The screening is presented by Fathom Events and produced by Diana Ross and Spencer Proffer of Meteor 17.
