We recently learned that Bareburger would be opening two locations on the Upper West Side. One will be at 2233 Broadway, between 79th and 80th Streets (formerly occupied by Ikinari Steak, which closed after a pretty short run). We also learned that they’d be reopening at 795 Columbus Avenue, between 98th and 99th Streets.
The burger chain’s marketing director just reached out to us with some exciting news: they’ll be opening at 795 Columbus on Monday! We were also told that the interior will have a new design, the new menu will be 50% vegan, and that there will be an upgraded bar menu (notes from a recent Community Board 7 meeting indicated that they had applied for a liquor license).

When we asked him when the Broadway location would open, he said it’s “looking like sometime in November” (so no promises … but cautious optimism for sure)..
If you haven’t been to Bareburger, they serve a pretty wide variety of grass-fed burgers, plus some more unique burgers including one made from organic turkey, both Impossible Burgers and Beyond Burgers, as well as a veggie burger made from quinoa, chia and green pea.
Bareburger also has a kids menu and offers gluten-free and vegan milkshakes and desserts.
