An Israeli grocery delivery startup, Shookit, has leased space at 896 Amsterdam Avenue, between 103rd and 104th Streets, Commercial Observer reports.
Shookit has rented a 400 square foot space, from which they’ll be fulfilling orders of fruits, vegetables, coffee, sauces, spices, pasta and more.
The company’s LinkedIN profile states:
“Shookit is (a) direct to consumer grocery startup, operating in Tel Aviv. We sell fresh produce (fruits and veggies) and other products for your cooking needs. We are a tech company obsessed with logistics and customer experience, backed by world-leading venture capital, building a new kind of distribution system, designed for a new world in which brands and customers have a direct, and meaningful relationship.”
The company was founded in 2017, and according to venturebeat.com, was backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, “an American venture capital firm focusing on early stage investments in the enterprise technology and consumer space.”
