An Upper West Side couple has recently opened their own “mini wedding chapel,” giving brides and grooms to be a safe place to get married in person … with (some) of their loved ones present.
Husband and wife Bradley Lau and Veronica Moya opened Love Chapel NYC at the beginning of the year, the NY Post first reported, and it can be found on the ground floor of 161 West 75th Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.
The small venue offers two main options: a 2-minute “City Hall Style Ceremony” with four guests ($200) or a 40 minute “Custom Ceremony” with fourteen guests ($400).

Everything is done with safety in mind: guests are socially distanced, temperatures are taken at the door, hand sanitizer is distributed, and masks are required to be worn by everyone (excluding the couple at the time of the ceremony).
Both Brad and Veronica have been in the wedding business since 2008 – Brad as an officiant and Veronica as a planner, officiant and the owner of Wedding Packages NYC, an elopement company.
Before the pandemic, Brad would officiate 40 to 50 weddings per year, many of which would take place in Central Park. But his main line of work has always been as a corporate headshot photographer (he’s the owner of www.corporateheadshotsnyc.com). When the pandemic hit, going to offices to take photos of lawyers and bankers wasn’t exactly in the cards anymore.
So Brad and Veronica began to focus on weddings full time, hosting many ceremonies over Zoom.
Brad told us he’s had the idea for a small, inexpensive wedding venue for a long time. The idea has now become a reality, since mass gatherings are no longer an option for many couples.
All of the couples they’ve married have come from the boroughs, and Brad tells us they’ve been booking dates pretty much around the clock, with mini weddings taking place every day of the week.
