A Tree Lighting and Free Screening of Elf!

Last modified on May 4th, 2021

There’s some serious holiday fun to be had this Thursday in Morningside Park. And it’s free. It starts at 5pm with a tree lighting ceremony at 113th and Manhattan Ave in the park.

Then at 5:45pm, a fifteen minute holiday gospel performance by MAMA Foundation Sing Harlem.

And at 6pm, a free screening of ELF! Starring Will Ferrell, this is a hilarious and great movie for both kids and adults. The movie will be screened at the ball fields on the south side of the park.

There will also be refreshments and “fun winter games” (I don’t know either).

This holiday event is delivered by Historic Harlem Parks and NYC Parks Movies Under The Stars.

A few more upcoming (and ongoing) holiday events to check out:

Broadway Under The Stars (live music at the Shops at Columbus Circle .. there’s one more performance on Monday, December 10th!)

The 39th Winter Solstice Celebration (an annual holiday concert taking place between December 20th and 22nd at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine)

And if you’re ready to start planning, a whole bunch of great New Year’s events!

Sharing is caring!
