To honor MLK Day, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared at Riverside Church in Morningside Heights for a speech and interview (first reported by Columbia Spectator). Ta-Nehisi Coatets interviewed AOC at the church, which was where MLK gave his speech “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence,” in 1967. AOC spoke about her desire to enhance economic justice and racial justice, as well as her experience growing up.
