It was not a happy Easter at Danny’s Pharmacy II, located at 110 West End Avenue between 64th and 65th streets.
According to an NYPD spokesperson, a man entered the business on Sunday and displayed a firearm before robbing Danny’s of several hundred dollars.
“This is not the first time he’s come in here,” said Daniel Khanimov, owner of the Lincoln Square business. “He usually comes in, goes right into the register, picks up his stuff and walks out.”
Khanimov said the suspect was wearing the same face mask and hoodie he’s worn during previous incidents. He was also wearing a brown leather jacket, black sweatpants, and white sneakers with orange shoelaces. The suspect is still at large.
“I guess if they catch him or whatever, they catch him and let him out every time,” noted Khanimov, who added that everyone at the store is okay.
Anyone with relevant information about the suspect is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on Twitter.
