Police have reached out to the media to report two armed robberies which took place in the Lincoln Square area earlier this month.
On Thursday, March 16 at approximately 2:04 p.m., a 24-year-old male victim was approached by three unknown individuals at 75 West End Avenue (at 63rd Street). The suspects flashed their guns and took the victim’s cellphone and bicycle. The individual pictured below fled on food north on West End Avenue. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.
On Sunday, March 19 at approximately 2:43 p.m., a 35-year-old male victim was approached by two unknown male suspects at 50 Riverside Boulevard. The suspects displayed a firearm and removed the victim’s bicycle. The suspect being sought fled on the victim’s bicycle, heading south on Riverside Boulevard. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.
We asked the NYPD about the other suspects involved in these incidents, as they were not mentioned in their initial report. They told us a 20 and 21-year-old male were arrested and charged with robbery, and that the third male, pictured above, “remains outstanding and sought.”
