We recently mentioned that the owners of Tessa are in the process of bringing us a new restaurant called Asset, which will be located at 329 Columbus Avenue. We’ve now spoken with the director of operations, Patrick Duxbury, who has provided us with a bit more information.
On the food:
“We will offer a “New American” inspired menu with plenty of small plates, pastas, seafood and meats. Our Chef is John Schafer, who has joined us from the Yankees franchise.”
On the setup:
“We’ll have two level of seating with a bar on each floor. The bar on the main floor will be very large, similar to TESSA. The Bar upstairs is more intimate. Seating for dining on each floor as well as a lounge area on the main floor. There will also be plenty of space for private dining and events. The mezzanine alone can seat up to 50 guests.”
On the DJ booth, which we reported in our original post:
You are correct that we do have a DJ booth but have no intentions of being a night club. However, we plan on staying open later, offering a late-night menu and cool vibes for those who are looking for a place to hang.
Duxbury also mentioned that the interior will have a modern and industrial feel designed by Bates Masi, the architecture firm behind Tessa.
Asset has also created an Instagram account to document to construction process.
The owners hope to open Asset by the end of June.Join the newsletter for updates about this opening and more!
