Barack Obama’s former apartment in Morningside Heights is now on the market for $1.45 million.
The 3 bedroom, 2 bath co-op is located at 622 West 114th Street, between Riverside Drive and Broadway, and is listed with Scott Harris of Brown Harris Stevens.
People.com first reported that Obama and roommates rented the apartment back in the ’80s while the former president was studying political science at Columbia University. It has indeed been renovated since Barack lived in it.
While studying at Columbia, he also lived in an apartment at 142 West 109th Street.
According to the listing, the apartment is located in a six-story, 39-unit prewar building called Revere Hall. It comes with an elevator and laundry room, and was built in 1907 by former architectural firm Schwartz and Gross.
The monthly maintenance is $1,448. The listing description also notes “There is an on-going assessment in the amount of $226.25 per month through December 2022 for on-going capital improvements.”
Some apartment features include southern exposure, two nicely renovated windowed bathrooms, a windowed eat-in kitchen, a washer and dryer, new plumbing, electrical and LED lighting throughout.
