I like to look great. When I’m wearing an outfit that looks really good on me, I just feel happier…I smile more, make more eye contact with people, have a better day, and I’m generally nicer to those around me. That may sound shallow to those who don’t care about their clothes, but I’ve found that people treat you differently when you take pride in your appearance and are dressed nicely. Why not be at your best? Well, sometimes a little something stands in your way that we call money. Have no fear, Upper West Siders (or Upper West Sider wanna-bes!)! I’ve scoped out some terrific stores for bargain shopping on the Upper West Side, so that you, my fashion conscious readers, can stay on the cutting edge without breaking the bank.
Bargain Shopping on the Upper West Side
Marshall’s is a place I visit on a regular basis to see what’s available. They don’t always have what I’m looking for, but inventory changes frequently, so if you’re nearby check them out! They’re located at 2182 Broadway (south east corner of 78th) and the giant store takes a few practice rounds to navigate. They’re open from 9am to 9pm every day except for Sunday (Sunday store hours are 11am-8pm). Take a gander and maybe, just maybe you’ll never again pay full price for fabulous!
Happy hunting, my frugal friends! Enjoy the unbelievable Upper West Side bargains! You may just see me next to you in the Loehmann’s community dressing room, wriggling myself into some designer skinny jeans.
