Scooper Bowl New York
June 1st through 3rd
Bryant Park
An all you can eat ice cream fest comes to Bryant Park for the second year. Tickets go for $25 and proceeds benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports pediatric and adult cancer care and research at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

Rose Garden Weekend
June 9th and 10th between 11am and 4pm
New York Botanical Garden

Museum Mile Festival
June 12th from 6-9pm
82nd to 105th Streets on Fifth Ave
This giant free block-party allows attendees free access to nine museums and cultural institutions. Several museums also offer outdoor art activities.
The festival began as an initiative to increase museum audiences and support for the arts in the 1970s.

The Mermaid Parade
June 16th at 1pm
Coney Island
The Mermaid Parade is the nation’s largest art parade and celebrates the beginning of summer with over 3,000 creative individuals. It’s featured participants dressed in hand-made costumes based on marine and mythological themes.

Jazz Age Lawn Party
June 16th and 17th
Governors Island
This prohibition-inspired gathering attracts thousands of attendees who wish to celebrate the music of the 1920s. The event began in 2005 and has sold out each year.
