New York Comic Con
October 4th – 7th at the Jacob Javits Center
New York Comic Con gives fans a chance to dress up and interact with their favorite characters from comic books, anime, video games, television and movies.
Blessing of the Animals
October 7th at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine
Join the Cathedral of St. John the Divine for the 34th annual Feast of Saint Francis celebration. The Cathedral puts on this event to “celebrate the wonder and beauty within the animal kingdom, and to honor the dignity of all creatures.” Guests can be awed by the silent parade of creatures great and small down the Nave of the Cathedral. Following the indoor service, the festivities move to the Pulpit Green for pet blessings (guests can line up so that their pet receives a blessing from one of the several pastors available), food trucks, live music performances, and more!
NYC Dollar Slice Night
October 10th at 6pm at St. Anthony’s Church at 155 Sullivan Street
Enjoy $1 slices, courtesy of Slice Out Hunger, an NYC non-profit based run by pizza lovers who create these events to support American hunger relief.
Tacos & Tequila
October 11th from 10pm to 1am At Union West Events
Part of the New York Wine and Food Festival, this evening will be hosted by award-winning chef Aaron Sanchez. Enjoy tons of tacos, side dishes and creative tequila cocktails at this late night fiesta.
Art In Odd Places
October 11th – 14th Along the entire length of 14th Street
Visual and performance art will be displayed along the stretch of 14th Street.
Blue Moon Burger Bash
October 12th at Pier 92
Hosted by Rachel Ray, enjoy over 30 different burgers created by top chefs, and served alongside with live music, beer, wine, and spirits on the rooftop of Pier 92.
