Best Thai Food on the Upper West Side
Pad Thai, anyone? I’ve always loved Thai restaurants in NYC, and we have a few special gems right here on the Upper West Side. Here are my top three spots for the best Thai food on the Upper West Side.
Land Thai Kitchen
450 Amsterdam Ave
Run by chef David Bank, a native of Thailand. Bank also has a location on Second Ave on the Upper East Side, Land Northeast Thai, as well as Pure Thai Cookhouse in Hell’s Kitchen. Land Thai Kitchen has stellar reviews and has been featured in Zagat as well as the Michelin Guide. Prices are extremely reasonable.
Notable dishes include their atlantic salmon, pan seared duck breast and steamed vegetable dumplings!
Senn Thai Comfort Food
452 Amsterdam Ave
Serving up “Thai street food” within a cute and rustic setting, Senn Thai offers an array of colorful dishes including a prix fixe lunch for $9! I’m a fan of their southern Thai fried chicken wing, as well as their spicy pork noodle soup.
Small Thai joint serving large portions of Bangkok-inspired street food. Popular items include their spicy basil noodles and Bangkok fried rice. The food at Sookk is inspired by the Yaowarat District of Bangkok, which incorporates Thai, Szechuan and Cantonese styles of cooking.
These, in my humble opinion, make for the best Thai food on the Upper West Side!
