On Monday, May 11th, Bistro Cassis announced that it would be closing due to the COVID-19 outbreak, with no plans on reopening.
The charming French restaurant had operated at 225 Columbus Avenue (between 70th and 71st Streets) for about 15 years.
The restaurant was popular for its wide array of wines, French onion soup, rack of lamb, steak frites and much more.

The restaurant was part of Reststar Hospitality Group, which opened the original Bistro Cassis in Huntington, Long Island in 2001. This location is still open.
