An unidentified and unconscious adult male was discovered floating in the Hudson River on Monday.
Police officials say it happened just after noon when the NYPD’s Harbor Unit “responded and removed [the] aided male from the water” near West 79th Street.
NYPD authorities also say EMS responded to the scene, pronouncing the individual deceased upon their arrival.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing at this time. The identity of the deceased is currently pending.
