If you’re walking on the north side of 72nd Street, why would you cross the road?
To get to Charles Pan-Fried Chicken, of course.
The latest outpost of the popular eatery, located at 146 West 72nd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus, is now slinging wings (and breasts and thighs).

The flagship Charles Pan-Fried Chicken, founded by Charles Gabriel, closed in May — and the company set out to begin a city-wide chain, beginning with a storefront in West Harlem on 145th Street, followed by the Upper West Side spot.

There’s no question that most people come for the crispy, crunchy, juicy, thrice-spiced fried chicken which is available on a sandwich for $9.95, or on a plate that consists of three pieces, two sides and a biscuit. It can be smothered, served with waffles, along with ribs or in a 10-piece family meal with three sides, six biscuits or cornbread. Other menu highlights include the highly touted gargantuan turkey wings, barbecued pulled pork, and shrimp and grits. The menu also offers salmon, which begs the question. Why?

Word has it, hungry patrons have already inquired about Super Bowl catering.
Ugh. Looks disgusting. Heart attack on a plate. A really nice tasty good clean healthy option would have been much more welcome in this spot on 72 St.
Perhaps you should learn how to enjoy life Laticia, as opposed to putting down a new business in our neighborhood. Go enjoy your salad.

Why not just keep scrolling, Laticia? Let people enjoy things and welcome a small business to the neighborhood, Debbie Downer.
Can’t wait to try it. And use of the word “thrice” makes me want to go even more
It was delicious. Definitely returning. Fried chicken and fixins survived the 10 block walk home just fine.
Almost $14 for fried chicken and some sides! Plus long line/wait. I will stay with my home cooked chicken meals.
I tried it today and I have to say, FANTASTIC!!! I got the 3 piece chicken, one of them was with gravy, all delicious. As for the sides, I got the green beans which were great, but, the candied yams, Out of this F***ING world!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish them much success!
