Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center

Last modified on November 28th, 2017

The big ass Christmas tree has arrived! The actual lighting will take place on November 29th, and it will stay lit until January 7th, 2018.

The 75 foot tree comes from Pennsylvania, and will be covered with more than 50,000 lights.

On the night of the lighting (a Wednesday), there will be live performances from 7-9pm at Rockefeller Plaza (Gwen Stefani and Pentatonix).

This annual holiday tradition will be marking it’s 85th anniversary this year!

So if you don’t mind elbowing tourists (or if you are one … sorry), get excited to get up close to this mighty spruce!
