Congressman Jerrold Nadler will deliver the keynote address at UWS Celebrates Israel (May 5th @ 11:30 am). He will address the community on issues relating to the United States’ relationship with Israel and the importance of bipartisan support for Israel. In these contentious times, with Congress divided along party lines on so many issues, how do attempts to divide the Jewish community affect American support for Israel?
The talk is $10, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Seats will be offered on a first-registered, first-seated basis and may sell out.
The UWS Celebrates Israel will also include activities for kids of all ages; talks on Israel-related topics ranging from pluralism to technology to fashion, music, wine and beer tastings; a street fair; and more. It is organized by the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan and a consortium of UWS synagogues and schools, and funded by UJA Federation-NY. The full lineup can be found at uwsisrael.org.
