If the winter days are making your child daydream about summer adventures, then Woodmont Day Camp is the place to be come June! Woodmont is a traditional day camp for children ages 3-14, with enriching programs thoughtfully designed to evolve with your camper as they grow. From thrilling outdoor adventures to the performing arts, Woodmont’s diverse activities encourage every camper to develop their independence, forge friendships, and create special memories.
Conveniently located just 25 minutes from the George Washington Bridge, campers travel directly from the city to Woodmont’s New City, NY campus in private, air-conditioned school buses. The incredible camp experience starts the second your child steps on the bus, enjoying entertaining activities with a camp counselor on the journey. Once campers arrive, they’re grouped into Villages by age–and then the real excitement begins!
Every day, campers will enjoy a wealth of engaging activities with 30+ choices spanning athletics, arts, lakeside, and outdoor adventures. Whether it’s scaling the huge climbing tower or sculpting ceramic art, there’s no limit to the fun campers can have! Intrepid campers will be impressed with the state-of-the-art Aerial Park and 50-foot zip line, while nature enthusiasts will love exploring every inch of the 50 acres of beautiful woodlands, streams, and trails. One thing’s for sure: at Woodmont, every camper will discover something new!
Swimming instruction is a core part of the Woodmont camp experience. With six heated pools, campers swim twice a day, building strength and stamina. Whether learning the basics or tackling advanced swimming skills, an excellent team of certified lifeguards and instructors is ready to help campers succeed every step of the way.
For older campers, Woodmont’s unique “Choice” program immerses 1st-6th graders in activities like fishing, fencing, magic, or cooking. Kids in 7th and 8th grade can dive even deeper with “Intensives”: 60-minute daily sessions which will allow them to master new skills like cooking, fencing, lacrosse and film.
At Woodmont, camp is family. The amazing team creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere with small, close-knit groups of 12-15 campers and an amazing staff-to-camper ratio so campers can receive individualized attention.
