Elea is now open at 217 West 85th Street, Eater first announced. The Greek restaurant comes to us from Reno Christou, who recently opened Kyma at 15 West 18th Street.
The new UWS restaurant is said to be a bit more casual than its downtown sibling, with a menu more affordable but still with some similar dishes, including eggplant and zucchini chops and whole grilled fish.
The chef is David Perez, who posted these mussels on his Instagram account last night:
The new, two-level restaurant has a beautiful interior with light wood tones and exposed white brick throughout. The upstairs section has a 40-seat bar and the lower level has a 130 seat dining room.
