The NYPD is on the hunt for a group of thieves wanted for a ‘grand larceny pattern’ after stealing from two LensCrafters stores.
The first incident took place on Friday, March 1 at about 4:47 p.m. down at the 60 Broad Street Location … where seven suspects entered the store to steal about $1,200 worth of sunglasses. The unidentified perps fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Police say the second incident happened at about 5:17 p.m. on Monday, March 4 – when four suspects (who they believe are connected to the previous robbery) walked into the LensCrafters at 2770 Broadway (between 106th and 107th streets) and “removed approximately $4,100 worth of sunglasses without paying.” They again fled by foot in an unknown direction.
NYPD officials have obtained and shared surveillance footage of the four suspects from the second incident.
Anyone with relevant information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on Twitter.
