One of our readers has launched a GoFundMe campaign for Toscana Shoe Repair, located at 2348 Broadway between 85th and 86th Streets.
Cathrine Steck says the couple who owns the business for over 15 years had invested in store improvements several years ago, but with business taking such a big hit from the pandemic, they’re struggling to make payments on them (in addition to their rent).
Steck tells us that while the landlord has been very supportive, the owners are on the brink of closing.
