Last Thursday at home in New Jersey, Elvis, the overnight concierge at 222 Riverside Drive, was awakened by his young daughter who heard windows breaking. The house next door was engulfed in flames, burning to the ground, and badly damaging Elvis’ home which is now uninhabitable. The Red Cross placed him and his family in a hotel. Many of his possessions are lost or damaged. His family’s life has been disrupted and his future financial needs to reestablish housing are still unclear, but certainly substantial.
Even after this life changing disaster, Elvis has appeared at his job making every effort to be his usual friendly and cheerful self.
Please join the board of 222 Riverside Drive in offering help to Elvis and his family during this difficult time.
