Halloween at St. John The Divine

Halloween at St. John The Divine

Celebrate this Halloween at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.

They’ve got two upcoming events!

Crypt Crawls

Various times on October 27th and 28th

The annual Crypt Crawl teaches us the history of Halloween and how it originated as a celebration of the Celtic New Year. After the lesson, guests will hear the fear-inducing stories from the already buried. The crawl ends with a visit to the Cathedral’s crypt for those who dare venture down below.

Ages 12 and up. Buy tickets.

Halloween Extravaganza

Friday, October 27th from 7-9pm and 10pm-midnight

This celebration will begin with a screening of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, played with a live organ in the background!

After the screening, Ralph Lee’s Mettawee River Theater Company will present fantastic creatures of the night. Visitors are encouraged to brace themselves for increased ghostly mischief and ghoulish tricks. Seats closest to the action are for the bravest at heart, who may find themselves directly confronted with the hooked nose of a demon, the mossy nails of a witch, or the bulging, flushed cheeks of a ghostly manchild.

Buy tickets.
