New Plaza Cinema, the reboot of the historic and beloved Lincoln Plaza Cinema, whose doors closed in January 2018, is keeping the spirit of the beloved arthouse alive while it continues its search for a permanent home on the Upper West Side, no small feat for a non-profit that sprung with a groundswell of support from former patrons.
Its recent partnership with NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) at 1871 Broadway (61st and 62nd Streets), right across the street from the former theater, has been hugely successful and continues July 4th Weekend with the following lineup:
