Le Botaniste – A Plant Based Organic Food & Wine Bar Opening at 67th and Columbus

Last modified on September 1st, 2020

According to recent notes from Community Board 7, a plant based organic food and wine bar, Le Botaniste, will be opening at 156 Columbus Avenue (at 67th Street), replacing the former Starbucks. The notes from CB7 indicate that the company has applied for a two year liquor license.

Le Botaniste’s website describes the restaurant as a “healthy, delicious plant-based organic food and natural wine bar; a responsible food concept that cares about health and our planet; a positive way to appreciate food; 100% botanical, 99% organic, gluten-free”.

The menu includes spreads, bowls, desserts and drinks.

  • Spreads include green pea hummus, seaweed tartare and red beet caviar.
  • Bowls include spicy chili sin carne, vegetable tajine and “magic miso”.
  • Desserts include red fruit chia pudding, quinoa peanut butter cookie and key lime pie.
  • And drinks include botanical lemonade, detox juice and a selection of natural wines.

Le Botaniste also has locations in Soho, Midtown East and on the Upper East Side. Online reviews are pretty stellar for all locations.

We’ve reached out to Le Botaniste for more info. We’ll provide an update once we know more.
