Lowlife Steals Little Girl’s Bike

We thought the most shameful moment to take place in the neighborhood this year was when a little boy’s lemonade stand got robbed. It still might be, but there’s some new competition.

A man who police say is in his late teens is wanted for stealing a 13-year-old girl’s bike this week.

NYPD officials say the incident took place on Wednesday, December 13 at about 4:00 p.m., when the suspect approached the girl near 86th and Amsterdam Avenue. He then “threatened her physical harm if she did not surrender her bicycle,” police say.

The suspect then took the bike and rode off in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported in this incident.

The NYPD shared surveillance imagery of the suspect early Saturday.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on Twitter.
