Made In New York Pizza is opening a second location at 271 Amsterdam Ave, between 72nd and 73rd streets — the space previously occupied by Joe’s Coffee. Thanks, Hobbes Kabobs, for the tip. Made In New York also has a spot at 421 Amsterdam Ave at 80th Street. It opened in late 2018.
Made In New York will make an announcement in the next week or so, a representative from the eatery tells us.

Levain Bakery has a new cookie: “Rocky Road takes our classic chocolate cookie, adds chocolate chips, marshmallows, and cashews (sorry almonds!) to create the most decadent summertime cookie.” It’s available at all shops for a limited time. Find Levain Bakery at 167 West 74th Street and 351 Amsterdam Ave (at 77th Street).

New Wave Cafe closed about two years ago, after serving the Upper West Side since 1993. The space, located at 2210 Broadway between 78th and 79th street, has now been leased by what’s clearly another dining establishment. That’s all we know at the moment …

Thanks to Rachel Hirschhaut for the tip, and this photo!
Trumpet, the bloodhound who won Best in Show at this year’s Westminster Dog Show, was treated to a steak at Tavern on the Green on Thursday, the day after his triumph.
Also, Tavern on the Green now sells dog food at its to-go window (which just opened for the season).
Trumpet got a free bag.
Is it anywhere near as good as the pizza from the gone My Pie on West 72nd between Amsterdam and Columbus?
Mama’s Too is really good between 105th and 106th on Broadway.
Yes it is Jay. I recently moved south of 72nd and was really missing Made In NY Pizza – the two pizza shops on Broadway at 71 don’t hold a candle to it.
