If you’ve walked by the Magnolia Bakery on Columbus Avenue recently, you’ve probably noticed that the lines are longer than ever before (in addition to the high-tech products they’ve installed for safety precautions). We are here with the good news that another location is opening nearby.
The new location will be located at 1794 Broadway between 58th and 59th Streets and officially opens on Thursday, April 15.
“We are thrilled to be opening a new Magnolia Bakery just steps from Central Park – one of my favorite places to head to once the weather turns warm. With summer just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to grab your favorite desserts and bring the Magnolia Bakery experience right to the park,” said Chief Baking Office, Bobbie Lloyd.
If you’re headed to the park, the new location will have all your beloved staples ready in convenient packaging for you to take with you on the go.

Unlike the other location, there will be self-serve refrigerators for easy access to fan favorites like banana pudding and pastel buttercream frosted cupcakes. A coffee partnership with Bluestone Lane will bring Australian-style premium coffee to the new store. Bluestone Lane opened a location on 80th and Amsterdam in 2018.
ALICE’S TEA CUP REOPENING THIS MONTH
Want to let all your friends know you stopped in for world famous cupcakes at the new location? The location will have an Insta-worthy photo wall where Influencers and excited visitors can stop in for the perfect photo moment with their favorite treats.

If you’re not ready to venture out into the shop yet, Magnolia Bakery is expanding their delivery zone.
“For those who prefer getting banana pudding and cupcakes delivered right to their doors, Magnolia Bakery is expanding our delivery radius to not only include the Upper West Side, but also Midtown West for the first time,” said Lloyd.

To celebrate opening day, Magnolia Bakery will be offering the first 50 guests who order in-store or online via Toast a free large container of Classic Banana Pudding.
This is excellent news (except for my waistline!). Congratulations Magnolia Bakery.
The customers on the sidewalk of the Columbus location sure are rude, and this was before the virus.
But today, had one nearly slam into me as I walked north on the right, since he just had to zip to the curb when he left one of the north exits.
Say 2 years ago, even had a manager claim I was encountering rude customers waiting for a table at the Mexican place to the north. She was grossly in error, that’s being polite.
Good for Magnolia…it is so great to hear any news of expansions…..bring on the banana pudding!!!
