Man Commits Sexual Assault on Subway, Threatens to “Stab People in the Eyes”

The NYPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating an unidentified male wanted for a forcible touching incident on the Upper West Side.

It was reported to police that on Tuesday, September 6 at about 6:30 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was approached by the suspect on a southbound B train approaching the 81st St.-Museum of Natural History subway station. He stated that he “could touch anyone he wants” and that he would “stab people in the eyes.” He then “forcibly grabbed the victim’s buttocks,” police say.

The victim and other bystanders got off the train at 72nd and CPW, while the perpetrator remained on the southbound train.
