Man Randomly Slashed in Face on 2 Train

At about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, a 49-year-old man riding a northbound 2 train approaching the 72nd Street station was, without provocation, approached by an unknown suspect who “slashed him in the face with a razor,” NYPD officials alerted members of the media this morning.

The victim sustained a laceration across his nose and was transported by EMS to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is on the loose, and police have put out a call for help from the public.
