A road rage incident led to a shooting on the Henry Hudson Parkway Wednesday evening.
Several reports say it happened at about 6:15 p.m. on the southbound lane near West 108th Street, when the victim, a 29-year-old man, was shot in the leg while sitting in his car. Another alert says it happened closer to West 106th Street.

“We were told one driver had cut off another, and then the shots were fired,” reports CBS 2. The bullet pierced the driver side window of the victim’s Honda Accord and police are still searching for the gunman. “Traffic [was] backed up for miles with one lane open as police manned the crime scene.”

On Thursday morning, Patch reported that the victim had been transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition.
“I thought it was a muffler blast at first,” one witness told CBS 2. “Two minutes later police were everywhere.”
