Last week, police say a man was slashed in the head while riding on an Upper West Side subway.
It happened on Tuesday, October 3 at about 1:20 a.m. The victim was a 22-year-old man who was riding on a northbound A train when he was approached by a stranger. The unknown suspect started a verbal dispute with him, displayed a box cutter before slashing him with it, and exited the train at the West 72nd Street station, fleeing in an unknown direction.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene.
Police say the male suspect was last seen wearing a black bucket hat, purple sweatshirt, gray pants and purple socks.
