Surveillance cameras caught a burglar walking into an Upper West Side religious institution last week, and police say he stole a backpack before leaving.
It happened on Wednesday, October 4 at about 11:00 a.m.
The unidentified suspect walked through an unlocked door at 51 West 75th Street (between Central Park and Columbus Avenue), which is where Hephzibah House is located.
Hephzibah House is self-described as a “Christian Guest House and Ministry Center in NYC.”
Police say the backpack he stole contained headphones, currency, documents and other personal belongings.
The man fled in an unknown direction and police have released the surveillance video in the hopes that someone from the public can assist them in identifying and locating him.
