Jean Muggli Strahan – the ex-wife of former NFL player and current co-host of “Good Morning America,” Michael Strahan – was arrested on the Upper West Side for violating an order of protection placed against her by an ex-girlfriend, Marianne Ayer. TMZ was first to report on the arrest.
Marianne said she was in a relationship with Jean, but that harassment began as the relationship came to an end.
Marianne “filed legal docs in June accusing Jean of grand larceny, disorderly conduct, harassment, coercion and forcible touching,” according to TMZ, with additional claims that Jean had stolen her son’s plastic gun and threatened her with it (claiming it was real) and kicked her dog.
Jean was arrested on Friday for allegedly violating the order of protection by showing up at Marianne’s Upper West Side apartment.
Jean and Michael Strahan – who also lives on the Upper West Side – divorced in 2006. In late 2020, Michael settled claims that Jean had “engaged in a ‘pattern of abusive conduct’” towards their 16 year old daughters. The divorce settlement ended in split custody, with Jean agreeing to get a separate apartment on the Upper West Side and Michael owing her $15.3 million, according to Page Six.
