Montanez is of Puerto Rican descent and lives at 117 West 90th Street, between Amsterdam and Columbus avenues. Police say she was last seen at her residence on November 2 at about 4:25 p.m.
A family friend of the missing woman also tells us she suffers from dementia and “may seem lost or out of place and perhaps startled by strangers.” We were also told that she may not have any ID or wallet on her. She speaks and reads Spanish and understands very little English.
Montanez has shoulder length curly gray and black hair, dark brown eyes, is approximately 5’3″ and 160 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a burgundy long sleeve shirt, blue sweatpants, blue and white sandals with white socks, and holding a white handkerchief with black polka dots on it. She frequently walks with her hands behind her back, slightly haunched over.
