We recently got a behind-the-scenes tour of the upcoming Morton Williams in Lincoln Square, located at One West End Avenue (the official street address is 15 West End Avenue). The 20,000 square foot space spans from 59th to 60th Street, and from Riverside Boulevard to West End Avenue. The owner told us he’s aiming to have it open by March, but as you can imagine, there is a huge amount of work to be done. Just to paint a picture of the size, it’s about five times as large as the Morton Williams location by Columbia University.
The supermarket will come with an outdoor patio for customers , indoor seating , and a bar serving wine and beer . They expect the bar to be open during the same hours as the rest of the store.
They will also have self check-out stations, and are expected to have a large quantity of Kosher foods.
Here are some mid-renovation photos:

And here are some renderings they’ve provided us with:

Outdoor seating and umbrellas by the entrance.
The bar will have couches, stool-seating and flat-screen televisions.
This will be the supermarket retailer’s 16th NYC location. While they aim to be open by March, projects of this magnitude can sometimes take longer than expected. To stay on top of this development, make sure you sign up to get our emails!
