Check out Mother’s Day 2017 on the Upper West Side!
It’s rare that mothers ever get to take the day off, so May 8 is a day to celebrate and pamper them. From giving your mom a beautiful bouquet of flowers to treating her to a delicious brunch, here is how to celebrate Mothers Day on the Upper West Side.
Flowers are a staple for almost every holiday, and Mothers Day on the Upper West Side is no exception. If you’re planning on giving your mother a bouquet, the highest rated flower shops on the UWS are Posies, The After Hours Flowers and Plant Shed.
Posies, located on Amsterdam Avenue, boasts beautiful floral arrangements that don’t cost a small fortune, while the Plant Shed offers a variety of flowers, plants and trees. The After Hours Flowers offers 24 hour a day, seven days a week flower delivery service in two hours or less around the city– perfect for those placing their orders last minute.
Mothers are usually the ones who have to do the cooking, so treat your mom to brunch this Mother’s Day. Check out our favorite spots on the Upper West Side to enjoy brunch, like Caffe Storico. Many restaurants on the UWS are offering special Mother’s Day menus and gifts, like the popular Sarabeth’s, wine bar Tarallucci E Vino and Dovetail.
