Signage for Bagels & Cream is up at 924 Amsterdam Avenue (between 105th and 106th streets)–right next to Double Pie Pizza. The space was previously occupied by a salon. We don’t know anything about this place yet, but we like the sign. Thanks to Alec G. for the tip and photo.
The space which was home to Broadway Restaurant for 43 years appears to have an incoming tenant. According to @TradedNY, Buttercup Bake Shop has leased the diner’s former space at 2664 Broadway (between 101st and 102nd streets). Buttercup recently closed its location at 166 West 72nd Street (it first opened in late 2022). The bakery offers a variety of buttercream cupcakes, bars, cookies, pies and more. We’ve reached out to Buttercup for an estimated opening date.
